Our Impact

Kady’s Kloset is humbly proud to announce that for every purchase made with us, 10% of the profits will fund the sponsorship of a child in need through Compassion International.

Message from the CEO:

“I personally have been sponsoring a 6-year-old child in Kenya named Amos for almost a year now. Because of this sponsorship, my monthly contributions help with his medical care, school uniforms and fees, food, activities, and most importantly learning the Word of God. Their mission is to release children from poverty in Jesus' name, and my goal for Kady’s Kloset is to continue to sponsor Amos and eventually also his 5 other siblings through the help of our customers' contributions."

Meet Amos, Kady’s Kloset’s Sponsored Child!

Amos is 5 years old and his birthday is on September the 22nd.

He enjoys taking care of animals on his family’s farm, drawing art, attending Sunday school and preschool. Amos lives in the rural community of Mogor, home to about 1,000 people. The primary ethnic group is Kalenjin, and the common languages are Kipsigis and Swahili. Typical houses are constructed of dirt floors, mud walls and metal roofs. The regional diet consists of maize, rice, beef, cereal and bread. Water is scarce and mostly unfit for human consumption. Common health problems include malaria and typhoid.

Most adults in Mogor make a living by raising cattle, beekeeping, farming or operating small businesses, mainly cutting and burning trees for charcoal production. The average family income is equivalent to $40 per month. This area has no health care center. Illiteracy and school dropout rates are high due to the practice of early marriage. This community needs more income-generating activities.

Your sponsorship allows the staff of ACK Mogor Child and Youth Development Center to provide Amos with Bible teaching, food, medical checkups, vaccinations, testing for HIV, hygiene training, school fees, uniforms, tutoring, computer classes, vocational training, music activities, soccer tournaments, birthday celebrations, leadership development and community service opportunities.
